Clarify

•
My major role is to help you clarify your most important goals as a business leader and accelerate your ability to achieve these outcomes for yourself and for the company.
•    I believe that great leaders operate from both their heads and their hearts.  Consequently, we begin with what’s important to you – what you most care about – and the outcomes that you want from two perspectives: 1) Contribution to your organization and 2) Personal fulfillment/legacy.

Commit

•    The key to successful change is commitment.  It is my responsibility to help you identify outcomes that are more important to you than your current state.
•    It is also my responsibility to challenge you if I observe breakdowns in commitment.

Change

•    I operate as a catalyst and sounding board to help you move into areas of discomfort.  You do the hard work of executing targeted changes.
•    During the engagement, we will address three critical areas of change that
have been identified through research: Awareness, Planning/Commitment, and Action.
•    We will focus on leveraging your current strengths, building new strengths, and addressing improvement needs.  In the final analysis, your strengths are the foundation through which you demonstrate your distinctiveness as a leader.
•    To make sustainable changes, we often need to shift ingrained habits or beliefs that are holding us back.  As applicable, we will work together to identify a few simple work and personal practices that can help you build the “muscles” for navigating stress and achieving maximum effectiveness.

Process and Results

•    When we create an action plan, we will identify desired quantitative results, if possible, as well as qualitative indicators of success.
•    If the process is effective, I will help you achieve your goals in a faster timeframe than you would have without a coach (hard to measure specifically, yet time and focus are ways in which a coach often adds value).
•    Throughout the process, I will share, as appropriate, various tools with you to help you move forward.  In that regard, I will draw upon my experiences as a corporate officer and entrepreneur plus leadership tools that I have either personally developed or gathered from various seminars, programs, and reading.
